Mattapan Portfolio

The properties were acquired as part of a low-income housing portfolio. Our aim was to improve the property’s condition and increase its value by utilizing city funds and implementing strategic renovations. The city provided $600,000 in funding, which we supplemented due to inflation and increased costs. Exterior repairs included fixing wood shingles, porches, and drainage systems, and replacing wood with long-lasting, maintenance-free materials. Interior renovations were carried out as tenants moved out, and the refurbished units were rented to Section 8 recipients at nearly market rents. Additionally, 2 land parcels that came with the portfolio are in the permitting phase to add an extra 6 units.
